Ashwani Bhargava is the Senior Director of Supply Chain Management for Boeing in India. Based in Bengaluru, he leads a talented and cross-functional team that manages a network of over 300 suppliers in India who are an integral part of Boeing’s global supply base, contributing to over $1.25 billion in sourcing from India for Boeing’s commercial, defense, and global services businesses. With extensive leadership experience across various industries and regions including Asia, Europe, and Africa, Bhargava brings a strategic perspective to Boeing India’s supply chain operations.
Before joining Boeing, Bhargava held key leadership roles at General Electric (GE), where he managed supply chain, program management, and quality for various units. In his last role at GE, he served as the Sourcing Leader for GE Transportation in South Africa, managing supply chain for a $700 million locomotive tender. Before joining GE, Ashwani started his career at Larsen & Toubro in Mumbai, where he held positions of increasing responsibility in manufacturing and production planning. Ashwani’s experience in diverse industries has equipped him with a strategic mindset and a deep understanding of global supply chain dynamics. His expertise in managing complex and large-scale supply chain operations has been instrumental in driving growth and success at Boeing in India.
Bhargava is a member of the Manufacturing Committee at the American Chamber of Commerce in India. He is also a member of the Aerospace and Defense Vision Group, overseen by the Government of Karnataka, dedicated to fostering the sector’s growth within the state.
Bhargava has been honored as one of the Empower 2024 Top 100 Executive Role Models for his advocacy of diversity and inclusivity. Additionally, he is recognized as one of India’s Impactful Supply Chain Leaders of 2024 by ET Now, underscoring his commitment to fostering inclusive workplaces and championing diversity alongside Boeing’s Indian supply chain partners on a global scale.
Ashwani Bhargava’s leadership in Boeing India’s supply chain has earned him significant recognition, including the International Procurement Champion award at Invest Karnataka 2025 and the Excellence in Exports award at the SAP Media 10th Aerospace & Defense Awards 2025. These honors highlight his impactful contributions to strengthening supply chain capabilities and driving export growth. In 2025, Bhargava was named among the Top 25 Chief Supply Chain Leaders by the ISCM Thought Leadership Summit. Under his guidance, Boeing India’s supply chain was also acknowledged as a Functional Supply Chain Champion in ISCM India’s 2025 Supply Chain Ranking. Additionally, he received the Regional Icon award from ISCM, and his team secured the Best Class Manufacturing Supply Chain Award, reflecting his commitment to operational excellence and industry leadership.
Bhargava has a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee, and a Master’s degree in Finance Management from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai.
